چکیده

This paper deals with the measurement and simulation of saw wire temperature during machining a rock sample in vacuum. It is expected for wire-sawing to keep cutting performance by successive supply edges. The vacuum has been investigated lunar planetary explorations. To clarify deterioration due nickel adhesion on rock, rise was investigated. In experiment, reciprocated slider-clank mechanism machine sample. A workpiece holder mounted lever though an octagonal load cell strain gauges measure principal force thrust simultaneously. measured its electric resistance machining. vacuum, rose about 30°C at speed 0.16 m/s. generated heat conducted as well wire. analyzed three-dimensional finite difference model. simulation, 55°C same experiment. trend simulated coincided one. affected little

Prototype of Cutting Machine by Wire-sawing in Vacuum for In-situ Investigation of Rocks

Introduction: A bullet type sampler is sometimes used to obtain a sample from an asteroid on samplereturn missions [1]. On the other hand, in-situ analysis is demanded for the investigation of more amount of rock samples. Many drilling or coring devices have been developed [2-5]. Slicing the rock sample is preferable to observe its interior rather than shaving [6]. Because coolant cannot use in...

Evaluating the Power Consumption in Carbonate Rock Sawing Process by Using FDAHP and TOPSIS Techniques

The prediction of rock sawability is important in the cost estimation and the planning of the stone plants. An accurate estimation of rock sawability helps to make the planning of the rock sawing projects more efficient. Rock sawability depends on non-controlled parameters related to rock characteristics and controlled parameters related to properties of cutting tools and equipment. In the same...

A Modified Schimazek’s F-abrasiveness Factor for Evaluating Abrasiveness of Andesite Rocks in Rock Sawing Process

One of the most crucial factors involved in the optimum design and cost estimation of rock sawing process is the rock abrasivity that could result in a significant cost increase. Various methods including direct and indirect tests have been introduced in order to measure rock abrasivity. The Schimazek’s F-abrasiveness factor ( ) is one of the most common indices to assess rock abrasivity.  is t...

Characterization of the Diamond Wire Sawing Process for Monocrystalline Silicon by Raman Spectroscopy and SIREX Polarimetry

A detailed approach to evaluate the sub-surface damage of diamond wire-sawn monocrystalline silicon wafers relating to the sawing process is presented. Residual stresses, the presence of amorphous silicon and microcracks are considered and related to diamond wire velocity and cutting ability. In particular, the degree of amorphization of the wafer surface is analyzed, as it may affect the etchi...
